Our Mission

As a talented team of minority women from several states, we are prepared to commit our personal knowledge and experiences. Our team recognizes the critical role that stability plays in the need for sustainable economic growth in our communities. We will work collectively with organizations to be on one accord and of one mind to establish quality affordable homes by means of renovation and construction in addition to revitalizing distressed communities.

Our objective is to broaden and strengthen housing for victims of domestic violence, human trafficking, housing discrimination, Veterans, the homeless, our Native community, and the LGBTQ+ community. We intend to minimize recidivism (repeat offenders) by expanding the transitional housing and assisting displaced individuals and families impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Why is this important?

Stable housing is essential to mental health.

Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs states that only once an individual’s most basic needs (food, water, shelter, safety, etc.) are met can they begin to prioritize higher needs such as friendship, love, dignity, and the highest of them all, self-fulfillment. Self-fulfillment leads to increased motivation, which leads to increased achievement, more motivation, and ultimately the possibility to become a productive and contributing member of society. It is widely accepted in the field of psychology that responsibility and purpose in life are key to mental health.

It is up to us to help our communities.

There is much contention between those with strong opinions in the endless ideological battle between government welfare and private charity. Whatever your stance may be, we all stand to benefit from making our communities better. The leading cause of homelessness in the USA is a lack of affordable housing, even the smallest contributions to charities like ours can have an impact.
